Minister of finance announced in his budget speech that tax free broad band and internet services will be given to those who use internet for their studies , at home and for research purposes . Tax will be applied on greater than 4 mbps packages on internet . 2 mbps and less than that will be tax free . Before that tax was applied on Rs 1500 packages . Now it will be applicable only for those packages that are greater than Rs 2500.
